There's No Place Like Home Theme

for Skinny Saturday this can only mean my Garden!

Cherish Tag for Week 7~Pretty & Feminine

Isabella again (this time in color) she is so precious, such a timeless serenity to her.......dare I say she looks almost bored ~ as if she has been modelling all day? I am so enjoying creating with Paper Imagery Designs! How fortunate for me to be part of this great company & the design team.

You have to check out their awesome special that has been continued this week: BOHO! Such a great offer, such wonderful sheets ~ and the transfer quality is amazing! I am completely addicted. I am going to play with some of the color images later!

Emily for MMM 4X4

Another great collage sheet image from Paper Imagery Designs this one is entitled Emily. She's so delightful~find her here.

So Very Lovely Isabella, continued

The Tuesday Created Byhand challenge is for fabric, I used Isabella collage sheet 161 from Paper Imagery Designs! I transferred her to a piece of cloth using gel medium and added some ink to the background. Decorated with white rub on transfers from Stampin' Up and a little German scrap butterfly and vintage ribbon.

Absolutely Fabulous Isabella!

My first theme Thursday and I received my Paper Imagery Designs collage sheets this week! Absolutely enchanting faces, warm, gentle and sweet! Here is my interpretation of little 'bella' Isabella collage sheet 130 here. I also made some quick tape transparencies and I was soo impressed with how well they worked! Stamps from Stampin' Up and Basic Grey.

Men Fairies for MMM

The vintageness of these men fairies are my contribution for 'playing cards'. I can just picture them sitting at a table playing, all with almost romantic notions....destiny, believe and hope! Check out the new collage sheets here!

Happy Tuesday!

I don't seem to go a whole day without creating something, anything, of late! This is a wonderful feeling and it is good to know that although I am not routinely working on large pieces.......every now and then I find I am blessed with inspiration and this makes me happy! I have taken a few mixed media & drawing art classes from my (area) local artists and Paulette Insall (net, Oregon) and the one continuous thread from all of them ~ don't overthink things, don't beat yourself up, and above all else, just be you! Like I said ~ happy!

All of the wonderful stamps, ink and tab punch above are from Stampin' Up! Collage sheet images from me!

Tuesday Challenge ~ Quotes!

This quote from Quietfire has got to be my second most favorite next to the 'they are but stars' which is my most fav!

Suzanne's newsletter message today suggested a challenge to make this a weekend project ~ great idea Suzanne!

For Sarah!

I just love Skinnies so very much and a thank you goes out to Sarah for her Skinny Saturday challenge blog!

P.S. I so enjoy all of her work and although I could send forward one of the lovely rewards I have received; this seemed like a nice way to let her know how much I appreciate all of her inspirations! Happy Birthday for Sunday!

Polka Dots for Tag You're It!

Almost feeling a little 'goth' with this black feather but I couldn't help myself when I happened upon my fly tying supply source! I was so happy to find this challenge ~ I just love making tags. This is my torso tag template. Frequently I will finish it with beeswax, today just a thin coat of gesso over the bright red polka dot background. The torso is too thick for sewing today!

Blue & Green for TGIF!

So I'm a little in awe of sewing on paper........I completed three skinnies yesterday (this is not one of them)~ only one of the three similar designs had sewing on paper ~ and I must admit the sewn one is the best.........so now I have stamping, collage sheet images, inking and sewing on paper! Love it!

Green Paris Collage

This beautiful image came to me for free from Michelle @ Digital Collage Sheets. I signed up for her newsletter and voila~the much awaited 'Green' collage sheet was shared by the wonderful gal! In the meantime I love MMM and I had just finished creating this, no theme in mind, and thought I'd look for a challenge to share in ~ and bam! Diane @ MMM provided my stage, lol! Edit to say: Barb (guest host @ MMM)!

Seriously though, isn't blog land such a wonderful place to grow, learn and share? It seems like only a few short months ago that I became interested in challenges and I have been so enriched because of them!

And to all of the wonderful people that visit here; your kind words and meaningful thoughts are so generous, so very much appreciated, thank you to all!

TGIF ~ Faces!

I love the beauty of the face of this lady! Genuine, 100 percent beauty she is! You know what I love best about contributing in TGIF? It really is TGIF and off I go for the last shift of the week! I remember the days of being a stay-at-home-artist and now I look forward to making my way back!
